Sponsors are invited to donate a book box to a school to help provide 1000 books to 1000 classrooms in 100 days! We have reduced the price of Tears & Taffeta from $19.95 to $10 per copy! Each book box we donate to a school will have 25 hardcover copies of Tears & Taffeta. We will deliver all boxes to local schools. We need 40 sponsors to make this project a success! As the boy grows and changes, so does his magical cape! On his dark days, the boy's multicolored cape is a bright reminder to celebrate his inner courage, vulnerability, and strength.

Tears & Taffeta is a book for all ages inspired by The Tears & Taffeta Movement, a men's empowerment project started by Gina Bell. It helps us all remember the power of connecting with our magic, even in life's messier times. Welcome to the magical world of Tears & Taffeta, an all-ages picture book about a boy and his ever-growing taffeta cape!

Tears & Taffeta, the storybook, was inspired by The Tears & Taffeta Movement, the corresponding project to The Tears & Tulle Movement. The Tears & Taffeta Movement invites men worldwide to share life's "tears" and "taffeta" moments. Each past, present, and future participant pairs the traveling taffeta fabric cape with something black to symbolize their ability to show up from within the darkness and reconnect with their color—some sharing powerful stories of transformation and growth. This movement encourages kindness, inner wisdom, emotional vulnerability, and love as essential strengths.

This isn't just any cape—it's a symbol of joy, wonder, and strength. Unlike traditional superhero capes, this one celebrates vulnerability and self-acceptance just as much as his courage and strength. It sends a powerful message, creating space for emotions and experiences and reminding us all that it's okay to feel and be true to ourselves.
